THE COUNCIL OF REGIONAL DIRECTORS/ CHAMPIONS/ LEADS

The Council of Regional Directors/ Champions/ Leads consist of appointed or elected members as are designated to equal and reflect the representation of Africa’s regional blocs which are building blocks to the AfCFTA framework.

The Council of Regional Directors/ Champions/ Leads shall also consist of a Diaspora Chapter. This is in accordance with the African Union’s 6th Region initiative which officially recognizes the diaspora as a 6th region of Africa. The diaspora chapter will be tasked with fostering collaboration with international community by raising funds for domestic projects, harnessing networks and spreading awareness about the AfCFTA protocols in the diaspora

The Council of Regional Directors/ Champions/ Leads meet at least twice a year, or at any time when requested by any member to the Continental council and approved by two-thirds of all members to the Council of Regional Directors/ Champions/ Leads as to bear urgency for it to convene, it meets in an extraordinary session, or as subject to its rules and regulations.
