Overview

IATF is a bi-annual trade and investment show convened by the AUC, the AfCFTA Secretariat and Afreximbank. The maiden edition was held in Cairo, Egypt 2018.

  • Overall aim is to boost intra-African trade by filling existing trade and market information gap
  • Platform allowing key trade stakeholders and players to share information and best practices on trade, investment, and markets; provides a unique opportunity for government, selected buyers, investors, entrepreneurs, and product manufacturers to discuss relevant traderelated policy issues and opportunities; and offers exhibitors an opportunity to showcase their goods and services and conclude deals.
  • During the 2nd IATF (Durban, South Africa, Nov, 2021), US$42.1 billion worth of trade and investment deals were signed; and attracted 1161 exhibitors which exceeded the targeted 1100 exhibitors.
  • The third edition is scheduled for Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire in November 2023. IATF
